FDLT Trailwork

[img_assist|nid=502|title=Trailworkers|desc=|link=node|align=right|width=200|height=150] On Sunday, Sept. 21 ten workers showed up on the Foresthill Divide Loop Trail to cut back brush along the Connector Trail. We broke into three groups and started at different spots along the trail. We were mainly aiming to cut the brush back from the edges of the trail so that riders did not get whacked as the rode by. Another goal of the brushing was to clear the sight lines around corners so that riders would be able to see oncoming traffic. The Connector Trail is such a well-built trail that riders going in both directions are able to maintain speed. Having clear corners is important to avoiding head on collisions. Now that the corners are clear, be sure that you are always riding at a safe speed so that everyone can enjoy the trail. Come out next month and help us maintain the trails that we all enjoy.
