They started out at Dark Day boat ramp and quickly learned how dark it can be in the middle of the day. The trees are so thick that sunglasses are unnecessary (except to protect your eyes from branches)! The trail was so coated with fallen leaves that that it was like riding on ice. The beauty of the trail was that riders of all ability levels were able to ride as far as they wished. Some people... turned back after a few miles, some did the short loop to the View Point and back to the ramp. Others rode a medium loop to the 7 Ball Trail and then hit the switchbacks down to the ramp. Four adventurous souls rode out on Old Camptonville Road and had a 21 mile loop. It was refreshing to jump in the lake after the ride to cool off! Join us next time because we are talking about having a FATRAC camp out next year for this ride to get multiple days doing the different options as well as a night ride.
