Annual FATRAC wine country tasting room bike tour and mtb campout weekend May 7-9 2010

FATRAC's annual bike tour of the tasting rooms of Dry Creek Valley and mountain bike campout weekend will be happening the weekend of May 7-9 this year. The date is printed in FATRAC's winter newsletter in incorrect.

We will meet at Lake Sonoma's scenic Liberty Glenn campground on Friday evening (try to carpool). Saturday morning, we will bike to the end of Dry Creek Valley and turn around just as the wineries are starting to open their tasting rooms around 11:00 or 11:30. After visiting a few wineries, we'll stop for lunch at the old general store that makes great sandwiches half way through the valley and then continue visiting wineries that look interesting on our way back to camp. We typically hit 6 - 8 wineries in a day. Saturday evening, we'll share a potluck around the campfire. Total ride length is around 30 miles on mostly flat back country roads.

Sunday, we'll head to Annadel State Park for some mountain biking on our way home, and possibly stop for a late lunch or early dinner in Sonoma.
